We are a family of 4 originally from Washington State, now living in Rhode Island, USA. My name is Michi and I am the voice of this blog. My passion for travel started a long ago. My parents instilled a deep love for travel in me from a very young age, taking me to Japan to visit family as a toddler, vacations in Hawaii growing up, Europe as a teen & young adult. My most memorable trips were at the age of 11 going on safari in Kenya and at the age of 15 going trekking towards Everest Basecamp in Nepal. I always knew that I wanted my children to travel & be comfortable traveling from an early age as well.

My husband, Brian, was on board with this from day 1! Our daughter’s first plane ride was at the age of 3 months old. Her first international trip was at the age of 1 to Tulum, Mexico. Our son also flew for the first time at the age of 3 months old. His first international trip was at the age of 1 to Europe! So as you can see, we love to travel as a family & we have so many helpful tips & tricks to share, as well as suggestions for things to do & see around the world!
